S.O.A.P. Bible Reading

S.O.A.P. Bible Reading

soap-web-graphic

Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

S.O.A.P. is a simple acronym to help us remember that the Bible is the best tool to keep our lives clean before God when we read and study it regularly. Using the S.O.A.P. method you’ll:

  • read a Scripture passage;
  • write down an Observation;
  • see if there is an Application to your life;
  • then commit that area to God in Prayer.
